1 Gb (gigabyte) of Monthly Bandwidth allows thousands of users to view your Web site each month. If you expect more traffic than perhaps 10,000 visitors a month using your Web site then you will need to purchase more bandwidth. But unless that happens, you will be well off with 1 Gb of monthly Bandwidth. Do not worry about your bandwidth. If you are in need of more bandwidth, Monica will notify you.
100 Mb (megabyte) of Web hosting Storage allows a Web site to hold between 100 - 300 Web site pages. This also includes all the text, images and extra add-ons that you choose to add to your Web site. It is unlikely that you would ever use up this large amount of space, but in the chance that you do, Monica will let you know it is time to upgrade your Web hosting storage space.
Contact Page is the Web page that has all of your contact information, such as your telephone numbers, fax, e-mail, and any other form of contact information. This page is often listed under the words "Contact" or "Contact Us."
CSS Document for your Layout and Colors is a special program that Web designers use to create Web site layouts and designs. One CSS (cascading style sheet) document is more than enough for a Web site, because it allows the same general layout, colors, and design to be displayed on each page of the Web site. This Web site, for example, only used one CSS except for the example Web site links. You can see how the general idea or theme is carried through out the entire Web site by the CSS.
Domain Name is any Web site name that starts with the infamous "www." The domain name of this Web site is www.MonicaSwanson.com. A domain name can end in may options like: .com. .net, .biz and so on.
Flash Buttons are fun buttons that are created with the Flash program. The reason that they are special is because they can be uniquely designed to fit your Web site's color or theme. In addition to being able to change color, they can also make noise when clicked.
Flash Images are entertaining images or short movies that are also created with the Flash program. Monica can create a personalized image or short movie that will enhance your Web site. Click here to view some examples of Flash Images.
Form is something that your customers can fill out and submit to you via your e-mail. This is very handy for collecting information from your customers/clients anytime of the day or night. It is convenient for everyone. A form with 20 fields or less is a form with 20 questions or answer boxes for your viewer to fill out.
Forum allows you and users to correspond through public notes left on your Web site in the forum. The forum can have different sections with different titles. For example, if you wanted to talk about a product, you could allow users to leave their comments in a specific section of the forum where others could read their response and reply. You could have different areas of the forum for different products. Be creative and imagine how this could benefit your Web site.
Graphics, images and pictures are all the same. Graphics are just about any picture you see on a Web site.
Guestbook allows your viewers to leave your public notes. This is not divided into sections like the forum and is meant for only your customers or clients to use a time or two. It is common for Web users and Web sites to have a guestbook, especially for personalized businesses.
Hit Counter is a number at the botton of your Web page that shows how many people have visited your Web site.
Home Page or index page is often the first page that you see on a Web site. It is important that this page draw in the viewers to read more about your Web site and business.
Paypal Icon and Link allows people and businesses to accept credit cards via a secure connection over the Internet. It is popular with many small businesses that work with clients over the Internet. Monica can put a link on your Web site that will allow your customers to click on it and pay you through the account that you have set up with Paypal. Read more about setting up an account with Paypal, if you are interested in it.
Photo Gallery displays your photos. This can be used in one's personal or business Web site.
Sub-content page is any page you have in addition to your Home page on your Web site. You will want your users to be able to click on different pages to get as much information as possible. Often, the more options you have for your clients and customers the better.
Tell-A-Friend is an add-on that lets viewers send an e-mail to friends telling them about your Web site. This is a fast and easy way for your customers or clients to spread the word about your Web site.
Web Poll allows your to poll your visitors to gather information. Often, this is fun for your customers/clients and helpful to you, by allowing you to gather information. Most polls only contain one or just a few questions. It is short and Sweet.
Webmail Accounts are essential e-mail accounts through your Web site. Whatever the domain name of your Web site is, you can set up your Webmail to read myname@mydomainname.com. For example, one of the Web sites I worked on is www.JourneyingWithYou.com. My client set up her Webmail as: Tammie@JourneyingWithYou.com (This is only an example of a Webmail account).
